Leicester-Shire Music Education Hub is a collective of local and national partners and schools, working together to deliver the National Plan for Music Education to all young people aged 5-18 in Leicester and Leicestershire. In 1948 the very first Music Service opened its doors in Leicestershire, establishing a rich heritage of music education and opportunities for City and County students that continue to this day.
70 years later our aim remains to provide all young people opportunity and access to excellent classroom teaching, instrumental and vocal tuition, as well as providing clear opportunities for progression, from beginners through to high quality ensembles.
We are now looking for a new Head of Service to provide visible, decisive, engaging and compelling leadership for the continuing and future provision of music education in Leicester and Leicestershire. To demonstrate your ability to deliver our vision you will be able to draw on an outstanding track record of achievement in music education, creating and sustaining productive partnerships, creating a culture of innovation but most of all demonstrable outcomes for young people.
