Belvoirdale Primary School (Good Ofsted April 2018) in the heart of Coalville, are seeking applications for the position of a Premises Officer to start asap in the new Academic Year – (27 Aug onwards). You will:
• Be enthusiastic and flexible
• Be well organised and reliable
• Have good DIY skills and be able to deal appropriately with low-level maintenance and general repairs
• Be able to maintain effective and accurate records of all tests and records which are essential to the role
• Be willing to attend relevant training essential to the role
Your main duties will include:
• Unlocking and locking the grounds and school buildings, as well as managing alarms in accordance with laid down schedules (this includes attending the Premises when the alarm is triggered).
• Undertaking routine cleaning as a result of spillages and other accidents to ensure that the school is a clean, safe, healthy and comfortable place.
• Undertaking a short and long term programme of general maintenance to enable the school to be maintained in a state of good repair – and arrange for repairs and maintenance work to be undertaken by external firms and contractors.
• Complying with Health and Safety legislation, School Policy and health and safety working practices. Advising the Head/Business Manager and the Health and Safety Committee when necessary and attending Health and Safety meetings when required.
• Maintain an accurate filing system of records detailing site and maintenance checks for Audit purposes.
Hours to be worked: 7.00 – 11.15am and 3.00 – 6pm Mon - Fri
