Salary Details: Grade 2 - £9 per hour, £9,000 per annum (actual)
We are looking to recruit a kitchen assistant, they will be an enthusiastic individual who is flexible, quick thinking and able to work under pressure. They will have a willingness to learn and be able to apply day to day food management control systems. Along with the ability to communicate effectively to encourage good relationships with students and colleagues.
The work requires assisting in the kitchen with a range of duties, such as making sandwiches, staff lunches, preparing vegetables, supporting in the serving of meals to the students and all associated cleaning duties in a school kitchen.
Maplewell Hall is a special school for students with moderate learning difficulties aged 11 – 19 years. At present there are 225 students on roll. The school is situated in extensive grounds in Charnwood Forest just outside Woodhouse Eaves and is six miles from Loughborough.
Working with our students at Maplewell is both challenging and rewarding. Our team of staff work together to develop students’ confidence, academic and practical life skills, preparing them for life after school.
