Building Better Opportunities – Getting Ready for Employment and Training (GREAT) Project
35 hours a week full time
We are seeking exceptional individuals to join our £2.1m Family Inclusion Project that will work with up to 500 family members across Leicester and Leicestershire who are furthest away from the labour market and may be at risk of social exclusion. The aim of the Project is to provide tailored and flexible support to enable participants to engage with a range of support services and activities, including training and work experience opportunities, to help them progress towards and into employment.
You will be part of a team working with 6 organisations across Leicester City and Leicestershire to implement a flexible and responsive personal development and employability programme.
The project is jointly funded by the Big Lottery Fund and the European Social Fund. The project is managed by Voluntary Action LeicesterShire. To find out more visit 
  • Employment Coordinators up to 2 posts
  • Roles Covering, Leicester City and Leicestershire
Employment Coordinators will plan, coordinate and co-deliver Great project group activities and evaluate their effectiveness. Working with participants to manage barriers to work and view employment as an achievable goal. Ensuring that participants have access to accurate information, Employment Coordinators will enable them to access the Project’s support, training and development activities. Supporting project participants to access large scale recruitment opportunities through relationship development with local employers.
Applicants will need to demonstrate experience in coordinating learning and development to ensure positive outcomes for participants against project targets. And engaging with employers at a professional level. Key to the role is the ability to work using own initiative and having a proactive approach to a varied and complex workload.
The role requires a superb communicator with an established track record in building internal and external relationships. You will act as an ambassador for the project.
Highly motivated, creative, flexible and able to work as part of a team, applicants will need to demonstrate the ability to effectively manage their time and workload within specified deadlines.
