The Diocese of Leicester is seeking to appoint an Assistant Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser (Asst DSA) to support safeguarding provision in the Diocese through expertise, advice, guidance, oversight and training.
Based in Leicester, the Asst DSA will have responsibility for a portfolio of casework and will have particular responsibility for developing support networks among volunteers in parish churches. They will also support delivery of safeguarding training.
This is an opportunity for a suitably experienced professional with a social work, probation, police or other relevant background to use their skills to help to develop and sustain a culture which ensures that children and vulnerable people are as safe as they can possibly be in our churches.
