Belvoirdale Primary School (Good Ofsted April 2018) in the heart of Coalville, are seeking applications for the position of Premises Officer for immediate start. You will:
 
•    Be hard-working, self-motivated and flexible
•    Work well independently and in a team
•    Have good practical skills and be able to deal appropriately with low-level maintenance and general repairs
•    Maintain effective and accurate records of all legal health and safety requirements.
•    Attend relevant training essential to the role
 
Your main duties will include:
 
•    Be responsible for maintaining all security procedures including locking and unlocking the school site and buildings and managing alarms in accordance with schedules
•    Ensuring that the school is a clean, safe, and healthy place to work
•    Maintaining a short and long term programme of maintenance to enable the school to be kept in a state of good repair and to organise repairs and maintenance work by external contractors.
•    To comply and uphold Health and Safety legislation, as well as school policy and health and safety working practices.  Advising the senior leadership team and the governing body when necessary and attending Health and Safety meetings when required.
•    Maintain an accurate system of record-keeping, detailing site and maintenance checks for audit purposes.
 
Hours to be worked:
 
7.00 – 10.30am and 2.00 – 6pm Monday to Friday
