Fixed Term for up to 12 months We are looking for a skilled and experienced individual to join the Democratic Services Team under a fixed term contract of 12 months. The post will be on a part time basis of two days per week (days to be confirmed).
This role is an opportunity for someone with good committee and scrutiny services experience who will be able to hit the ground running. You must have a good working knowledge of the law relating to Council committee meetings and have experience of supporting high profile and challenging council meetings with an appreciation of the political nature of this sector. You should also have a good knowledge of local government processes, excellent written and verbal communciation skills and be committed to team working.
At the heart of the role is a requirement to work independently to ensure key commitments and deadlines are met, whilst liaising with chief officers and elected members, providing advice on the democratic process.
Excellent IT skills will be required with knowledge of MS Teams and Modern.Gov.
