Pay Scale
 
We are constantly looking at your pay and how it is competitive within the market, and how it affects your development and length of service.  So, your pay and development will not stay static.
 
  • £34,373 – starting salary for Social Workers who have recently completed their 12-month ASYE programme
  • £39,571 – starting salary for Experienced Social Workers (Advanced Practitioners) who have a minimum of 2yrs practice experience.
 
…and, don’t forget the welcome bonus £3000

Our First Reponses Service includes our Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH), Duty Assessment Service and our out of hours Emergency Duty Team.
 
MASH
 
MASH receive all new information about children, young people and their families. This includes situations where help and support is required, as well as when children are in need of social work support, protection and care. MASH have an important role in determining what level of support is required for children and their families and use threshold criteria to determine this. Their role also ensures that partner agencies working with children have offered all appropriate support prior to considering alternative services. MASH is made up of a compliment of Social Workers, Family Support Workers, Police staff and representatives from Health. Together they are able to make decisions in the best interest of children.
 
Duty Assessment
 
Where MASH agree that threshold is met and a social care assessment is required, the duty teams undertake this work. Our duty social workers are skilled and experienced in quickly gaining children’s wishes and feelings, putting safety plans in place, utilising the network around the family to create safety, recognising strengths, and collating and analysing a range of information to better understand a child’s situation

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
 
  • Professional Social Work Qualification
  • Registered with Social Work England
  • Direct experience working with children in a childcare setting
  • Possession of full driving license and access to a vehicle
