We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, flexible and suitably experienced person to join our busy premises team. This is an important and varied role where you will contribute to the provision of high
quality maintenance, security and cleanliness of the whole college site and grounds for students and staff and users of our day nursery and leisure complex.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate good practical and organisational skills, a positive work ethic and a commitment to health and safety matters. You will have good general knowledge of
maintenance procedures and relevant skills, along with an understanding of relevant health and safety legislation. You will also need to be literate and numerate, self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision.
You will be working 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, covering a 6 week shift pattern to meet the operational needs of the college. There will also be the need for occasional weekend works: -
Shift 1 – 06:00 to 14:00 (Mon-Thu) and 06:00 to 13:30 (Fri)
Shift 2 – 14:00 to 22:00 (Mon-Thu) and 10:30 to 18:00 (Fri)
Shift 3 – 06:00 to 14:00 (Mon-Thu) and 06:00 to 13:30 (Fri)
Shift 4 – 08:00 to 16:00 (Mon-Thu) and 08:00 to 15:30 (Fri)
Shift 5 - 06:00 to 14:00 (Mon-Thu) and 06:00 to 13:30 (Fri)
Shift 6 - 14:00 to 22:00 (Mon-Thu) and 10:30 to 18:00 (Fri)
Ibstock Community College has 643 students on roll and is at the heart of the local community, serving families in Ibstock and the surrounding villages of North-West Leicestershire. Having joined LiFE Multi Academy Trust in July 2021, we are at an exciting stage in our development as we expand from a Key Stage 3 (11-14) school to welcoming students from 11-16 from the autumn term 2022.
