Fixed term for 1 year with the possibility of contract extension thereafter.

The starting salary is £25991 rising to £27741 on the first year anniversary, subject to the extension of the contract.

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to join our Communications & Marketing Team!

As the Communications Executive, you will play a vital role in the multi-disciplinary central team, through supporting campaigns, building community engagement and generating content for internal and partnership communications.

You will be responsible for running digital email and social media platforms, including maintaining websites and producing engaging content in a variety of digital styles and formats.

This will include responsibility for producing graphics, videos, newsletters, printed publicity material, press releases and on-street advertising platforms, all applying the principles of audience insight, effective branding and monitoring performance and impact.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience of working in a varied communications and marketing office environment undertaking a range of supportive communication and marketing duties.
  • Knowledge of using digital and social media as channels for news (websites, blogs, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, email newsletters etc).
  • Ability to assimilate and write clear copy to disseminate information in different forms.
  • Experience of working under pressure, organising, prioritising projects/work to meet tight deadlines, multi-tasking as appropriate individually and as a team.
  • Good communicator (written and verbal), able to think through the tone, method, channel and content, to deliver messages that best suit the situation and audience.
  • Excellent IT skills and ability to use a range of software including Microsoft Word, Excel and content management systems (working knowledge of website CMS, and graphic / video editing software such as Canva and Typito) and digital equipment including phones, microphones and cameras.
