This is a fantastic opportunity to join our friendly and dedicated Resourcing team, part of a wider People Services Team that recently won the PPMA Public Sector Team of the Year.

This is for maternity cover, to start approximately September/October 2022 for a period of 9 months. This is a great development opportunity to grow your skills within LCC.

Working closely with recruiting managers in Children’s Social Care, you will support recruitment needs across the service, proactively working on candidate attraction and the delivery of resourcing solutions.

You’ll be comfortable managing a busy workload, prioritising effectively while maintaining clear and frequent communication with stakeholders and candidates. You should have strong attention to detail and be able to deliver under pressure to high standards.

It would be beneficial for you to have previous experience recruiting for social care roles and/or experience of recruiting within the public sector, although this is not essential.

Key responsibilities:
  • Ensuring a consistent and effective approach to recruitment campaigns
  • Work with the Communications team to review, evaluate and improve the effectiveness of advertising campaigns
  • Support with the development, delivery and evaluation of recruitment initiatives such as career fairs and open days
  • Support with the identification of resourcing and workforce issues and to design and implement effective solutions
The ideal candidate:
  • Experience of successfully managing recruitment campaigns
  • Planning and organisational skills
  • Experience of in-house recruitment and hard to fill roles
  • Knowledge of recruitment best practice and legislation, current resourcing methods and market trends
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

 
We offer a flexible, hybrid way of working. This includes working from home, although some office working or site visits may be necessary.
