The Public Health Department in Leicestershire County Council is enthusiastic and passionate about protecting and improving the health and wellbeing of the local population. We are embarking on an exciting journey to integrate our adolescent healthy child programme with our children and family wellbeing service. We are looking to recruit experienced and forward-thinking person to join our team.

The successful candidate will be required to work in partnership with colleagues across Leicestershire County Council and with external partners within Health and Social Care system.

The post holder will be required to work flexibly throughout the County, have excellent communication and organisation skills and be able to work confidently and professionally with children’s services staff, managers and wider partners, to support raising standards through education, integration and supportive challenge.

The organisation can offer the successful candidates flexible working, access to NHS pension (if eligible), reimbursement of professional registration fees, training and development opportunities and an opportunity to shape the children and young people’s integration agenda.  

The post predominantly is Monday to Friday with some flexibility required out of hours to meet the service needs. Public Health has a hybrid model of working involving home working, with attendance at the main office in County Hall on an ad hoc basis as required.
