Support Worker- The Tree’s


Are you a caring, flexible, reliable, and enthusiastic person with a passion for supporting adults with learning disabilities in a short break’s environment?


If this, is you then an exciting opportunity has arisen to work for The Tree’s, Hinckley.  The Tree’s is a short breaks home for adults with learning disabilities. We support adults from across Leicestershire on a regular basis and on an emergency basis. This is an exciting and varied role for the right individual.


As a Support Worker you will be responsible to key work, plan, monitor, and review support plans and risk assessments; provide personal care and support on a daily basis; complete documentation and check equipment for incoming/ outgoing service users and plan activities for our service users during their stay to ensure their physical, emotional, cultural and social needs are met.

 The Support Worker will promote an environment in which service users are encouraged to remain independent and make their own choices where possible.

  • Willing to complete mandatory training required and travel to location of training
  • Flexible and positive attitude towards work
  • Ability to work with people with complex needs and on a 1:1 basis
  • Good communications skills- both written and verbal
  • Ability to assist with moving and handling procedures
  • Ability to work flexibly- Monday to Sunday 7am-10pm - including evenings, weekends and bank holidays
Desirable requirements
  • Experience of working in a social care setting is desirable
  • Have a person-centred approach- with experience of support plans and risk assessments desirable, training and mentoring is available.
