An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to join The Pochin School as Learning Support Assistant. The Pochin School is highly sought after and has 160 pupils from 3-11 years old. The school is in the small picturesque village of Barkby, with a strong village community feel.
Our school is looking for someone who is kind, creative, imaginative and has a great sense of humour to come and join their team at the beginning of the new academic year.
The Learning Support Assistant is responsible for supporting pupils/a specific pupil with their work and supporting the Class Teacher in ensuring that the highest quality of education is provided.
The ideal candidate will:
• Be NVQ Level 2 qualified or have equivalent experience of supporting teaching and learning in an educational setting.
• Have the ability to take direction from the Class Teacher to ensure all tasks and learning is undertaken within and outside of the classroom.
• Have the motivation and passion for being part of a successful school team.
• Have good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Have the ability to contribute to the progression of learning in school.
• Have the ability to communicate effectively.
