To provide a range of support a range of specialist support packages that improve the outcomes for vulnerable children and young people in care.
To help facilitate personal, social and educational growth in young people, helping them reach their full potential in society by:
  • Supporting and improving placement stability for children and young people.
  • Being responsibility for the planning, organising and delivery of a range of programmes and projects designed to promote protective factors for vulnerable young people in care, and tracking their progress and outcomes.

  • NVQ level 3 in Childcare Diploma or Childcare Qualification or evidence of continuing professional development 
  • Experience of working directly with challenging children and young people 
  • Knowledge of child development and an awareness of differing needs of children and young people and their carers
  • Understanding risk factors and prevention work that impacts on children’s attachment, and behavioural issues
  • The ability to communicate confidently, respectfully and persuasively with children, young people and carers.
  • Has the ability to adapt and respond flexibly to changing requirements 
  • Able to observe and analyse behaviour and its causes and put forward solutions to behavioural problems 
  • Current driving license and access to a car 
  • Able to travel to designated locations
