The starting salary is £49,702 (Level One) rising to £51,733 (Level Two) on the first year anniversary, subject to satisfactory completion of a probation period (pro rata for part time workers).

The role involves undertaking specific projects and initiatives within the Resident Services Directorate of the Council that deliver improved outcomes for the City and its communities.
   
In particular the person will provide co-ordinated support for the Resident Services directorate leadership team for the following key activities:
• Policy review and development including supporting work on equalities, diversity and inclusion
• Governance Management and Forward Planning
• Support for partnership activity
• Communications and Engagement Planning (external and internal)
• Service Planning and Performance Management
• Risk Management
• Emergency planning and preparedness.
           
In addition, the role involves the co-ordination of resources that relate to performance management, policy development, business support and engagement to ensure a consistent approach is adopted and to maximise the benefit to the directorate, council and City.

In your application we are looking for you to demonstrate the following ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Experience of developing and embedding effective business management to support improvements in services and outcomes.
• Experience of undertaking effective research leading to evidenced based policies, strategies and decisions.
• Experience of leading effective projects and change initiatives that have led to the delivery of agreed outcomes.
• Experience of working effectively with a range of stakeholders in delivery of business management, change and service improvement.
• Experience of co-ordinating, organising and ensuring the effective management of meetings/events/briefings with senior stakeholders.
