A new and exciting opportunity has arisen within the Contracting Team for a Contracts Officer
      
The starting salary is £30,095 (level 1) rising to £31895(level 2) on first year anniversary, subject to satisfactory completion of a probation period (pro rata for part time) (please note these are the 21-22 figures based on the recently agreed pay award)

The successful applicant will be involved in managing a variety of contracts. The role will involve the following:
  • Manage contracts to deliver value for money.
  • Develop strong partnerships with internal customers, providers, providing advice and support on issues relevant to contracts or service level agreements.
  • Ensure that providers are delivering services in line with the agreed contract. This will include undertaking site visits to contracted services. 
  • Investigate and resolve allegations, complaints or difficulties arising with contracts. 
  • Be a first point of contact for suppliers and seek to resolve problems as promptly as possible.
  • Performance manage providers against the performance indicators within the contracts and recommend appropriate contractual action for poor performance.
  • Use the learning from existing contracts and suppliers to influence the early development of service specifications.   
    
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Experience of developing and engaging with partnership working. 
  • Ability to produce accurate, clear and concise written information.
  • Ability to persuade others to develop and improve.
  • Experience of monitoring outcome based specifications
  • An understanding of the needs of different client groups and a sound knowledge of the different models of contracting and frameworks
  • Experience of managing a performance management regime where providers compete on a number of different KPIs
