Lady in the Market Harborough area requires Personal Support Assistant(s) to support her in her day-to-day life and in her role as a parent to her 14 years old daughter with ADHD and anxiety. There are 3 roles available one on fixed hours of a fortnightly rota of 10 ½ hours (to include weekends) and 2 to provide cover at times of holiday and sickness.
Start date asap.
Tasks will include assistance with all household chores, shopping, laundry, ironing, cleaning, preparation, cooking of meals. Support with personal care, washing/drying hair. Breakfast and dinner time support required daily. (Detailed breakdown of tasks within job description below). When required support with attending appointments, medical, professional organisations – school.
Driver with access to a vehicle preferred, but not essential.
Enhanced DBS check applicable to this role paid for by the funding authority
Paid holiday of 5.6 weeks per year (pro-rata)
Enrolment into a workplace pension
Previous experience in a similar role desirable particularly with ADHD/ASD, but not essential. More important is the ability to provide a reliable person-centred service with an understanding of the challenges faced by a parent, (in particular when they have a variety of debilitating health conditions), of a teenager who also has additional support needs.
