If this is you then an exciting opportunity has arisen to work for The Tree’s, Hinckley. The Tree’s is a short breaks home for adults with learning disabilities. We support adults from across Leicestershire on a regular basis and on an emergency basis. This is an exciting and varied role for the right individual.
The post holder will be responsible for providing night-time care and support to service users while ensuring their emotional, physical, and cultural needs are met. We encourage independence where possible and always promote the rights of the individual. The post holder will be confident in responding to assistive technology alerts, completing well documented case records, handovers, and any other documentation that the service users require.
The post holder will have additional tasks to complete throughout the night such as reviewing and updating service user support plans, health and safety checks, and domestic tasks alongside any other delegated tasks to meet servcie need.
The post holder will promote an environment in which service users are encouraged to retain control over their own lives and are involved in the decisions that affect them; providing an environment leading to a high-quality standard of care in line with the Fundamental Standards set by the Care Quality Commission.
Post holder will be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service, you must be able to work to a service rota; working between 9.45pm to 7.15am (Monday to Sunday), working weekends and bank/public holidays. Post holder must be able to remain awake and alert for entire shift time.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Willingness to complete mandatory training required and travel to location of training.
- Well motivated, Flexible and positive attitude towards their work
- Experience of working in a social care setting
- Ability to work with people with complex needs and on a 1:1 basis
- Have a person-centred approach- with experience of support plans and risk assessments, training and mentoring is available.
- Good communications skills- both written and verbal
- Ability to assist with moving and handling procedures
- Ability to work flexibly- Monday to Sunday 21:45-7:15 - including evenings, weekends and bank holidays
