Customer Services are looking for flexible and adaptable people to join our pool of casual staff to work in the HM Coroners Practice as a Court Usher.     
Candidates will be responsible for setting up visual and audio equipment, meeting attendees and sitting in inquests to support the Coroner when required.  There will also be administrative duties to undertake.
• Excellent IT skills (Setting up audio and visual equipment, confident with using Microsoft teams and other Microsoft packages, Case management system, Outlook etc)
• Able to deliver high levels of customer service showing empathy and understanding.
• High resilience as post holder will be subjected to information that may be detailed and graphic of circumstances relating to death.
• Presentable and smartly dressed, suitable for a court environment.
By joining our casual pool, candidates will be put on our database of casual workers. We are looking for candidates to be able to start as soon as possible.
Assignments can range from short term (a couple of months) to longer term placements.  
This role is based at the Council House, Old Market Square, Nottingham, NG1 2DT.
Working hours are normally Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm, with flexibility required if court finishes later.
Rate of pay is £9.99 an hour (gross), plus a holiday entitlement of 12.07% of salary.
