About the role:
ESPO currently has a fixed term Product Manager position available as listed below.
  
PRODUCT MANAGER (FIXED TERM CONTRACT – 12 MONTHS - £29,208)
ESPO is seeking a talented individual to help deliver a comprehensive and vibrant catalogue selection for the public sector, particularly within the education market, and is inviting applications from candidates interested in joining us.  This is a fixed term contract for 12 months.
 
About you:
You will:
  • Be a key part of the Catalogue team with responsibility for the day to day management and promotion of a wide portfolio of varied products.
  • Use knowledge and commercial experience to undertake sourcing activities, including but not limited to supply market and customer needs analysis.
  • Be totally customer focused, engaging with customers and suppliers to ensure products/services meet customer needs and offer best value for money.
  • Have the ability to recognise, maintain and strive to increase turnover through catalogue and web based promotions amongst other marketing media.
  • Work with the Procurement team to write and update appropriate contract specifications and evaluate bids.
  • Be enthusiastic, professional and passionate about wanting to obtain the best value products for our customers.
  • Have good communication, interpersonal and influencing skills combined with a commercial focus enabling you to deal with customers and suppliers alike.
  • Have good attention to detail, strong numerical and analytical skills giving you the ability to analyse trends and interpret market data.
  • Experience of Site Management, Health and Safety and PPE categories would be desirable but not essential.
 
Essential requirements:
  • Experience of product management with a proven track record of responsibility for a portfolio of varied products.
  • Commercially minded and a flexible team player with the ability to prioritise your own workload and use plenty of initiative.
  • Good communicator who enjoys working with customers, suppliers and other key stakeholders.
  • Degree or equivalent qualification or demonstrable experience.
