East Midlands Shared Service (EMSS) has a vacancy for the post of an Assistant Team leader to support a busy Personal Budget Payroll team.  The tasks will involve but is not exclusive to –

  • General admin/Payroll tasks to ensure the smooth running of the payroll.
  • Supporting the Team Manager on more complex payrolls and payroll queries
  • Audit checks to ensure payroll compliance.
  • Answering client queries to ensure that we always deliver first class service.
  
The Personal Budget payroll team currently provide a payroll to 840 individual employers allowing those in receipt of Direct payments to be given the choice of deciding who works for them and when.
  
Working with a client base that has such a diverse set of needs can be challenging but also really rewarding.  The person that we are looking for would have a happy ‘can do’ attitude to life, enjoy helping people, be versatile and organised.  Please see the attached job description for more details.
  
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Payroll administration experience
  • Experience in managing a team
  • Detailed knowledge of employer responsibilities for PAYE and Auto Enrolment/ Workplace   pensions
  • Good all-round IT skills, with experience of the Microsoft Office Suite
