Salary Details: Grade 8 – 9 based on previous experience
Working Hours: Negotiable up to full time
Location: SLIP at Countesthorpe Academy, Winchester Road, Countesthorpe LE8 5PR and at locations in the south of the county
   
The Secondary Partnerships support young people who have been excluded from their mainstream school or are at risk of exclusion. The Partnerships are piloting a scheme to expand their offer of support to schools to include pupils who have low levels of engagement and attendance in school. (Emotionally Based School Avoidance) We seek experienced staff who have worked in support roles in schools, youth work or other education focussed services to help us develop this work. The role will include providing advice and support to schools and working directly with a case load of children and young people – working in schools and making home visits.
  
The Partnerships aim to evaluate the project with a view to making the offer a permanent part of their work in the future.
 
The successful candidate will be joining teams of staff who have a deep commitment to the wellbeing and progress of some of Leicestershire’s most vulnerable children and young people. You will be line manged by one of our five Co-ordinators and supported with case work by an Educational Psychologist and senior school leader.
