The starting salary is £34,373 (Level One) rising to £36,371 (Level Two) on the first year anniversary, subject to satisfactory completion of a probation period (pro rata for part time workers).

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced pensions professional to work within Nottingham City Council's Pension team as the Deputy Pensions Team Leader. 
  
In this role, you will support the provision of an efficient, effective and compliant pensions administration service for Local Government, Teachers and NHS pension schemes and support and deliver on specific pensions related projects.  
  
Experienced in working in Local Government and/or Teachers Pension Scheme administration, the right candidate will have a passion for good customer service, and strong knowledge and experience in the following areas:
 
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
 
  • Detailed working knowledge of pensions for Local Government, Teachers and NHS pension schemes
  • The ability to analyse complex problems/data and to make effective recommendations
  • The ability to ensure that all data returns are balanced and submitted within agreed timescales
  • The ability to develop reports, systems and processes in the delivery of pensions administration
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing
  • Ability to plan and monitor workloads and deploy resources effectively to deliver work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  
Flexible (hybrid) working is available in this role, with the facility to work from home available.
