Geography Subject Leader
MPS/UPS Plus TLR to be negotiated around experience (between £2,872-£4,785)
The post offers an exceptional opportunity for an experienced practitioner, with a proven record of academic success, who is looking for a new challenge in an evolving Academy focused on ensuring that all students achieve or exceed their potential.
We are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and determined leader of Geography to add to our Humanities faulty.  We want someone with a passion for their subject, the ability to enthuse and engage students and the dedication, commitment and strategies to raise attainment at Key Stage 4, Key Stage 5 and, from autumn 2022, Key Stage 3.  We are also seeking someone who is excited by the unique opportunity to shape a curriculum area and has the pedagogic experience to grow learning in the classroom and beyond.
The Humanities faculty believes it is important that our students are well informed, develop key skills and ask questions about their past, present and future. Within the Geography Department there are four specialist Geography teachers. The department has its own classrooms and access to the Faculty ICT facilities.  Geography is a strong, successful department within the Humanities faculty, regularly attracting high student numbers.
We are proud of the work we do at Ashby School: if you are passionate about teaching and learning, share our enthusiasm for Geography and have a clear curriculum vision, we would be delighted to hear from you.
Further information is available on the school website:
Ashby School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all of its students and expects all staff to share this commitment.  The successful applicant will be subject to enhanced clearance by the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Closing date for applications is Monday 23rd May at 9.00am
Interviews will be held during the same week.
