We have an opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic Pastoral Leader to join our excellent pastoral team at Manor High School.
Manor High School is an exceptional 11-16 school based in Oadby, Leicestershire, with around 900 students, and is part of the OAK Multi-Academy Trust. We benefit from a culturally diverse population and a body of students who are well-motivated, with very high aspirations. Our school revolves around our four core values: Excellence, Inspiration, Resilience and Respect. These are reflected in all that we do and all that we are.
Manor High School is the highest performing school for progress in Leicestershire and in the top 1% nationally. This exceptional achievement has been achieved through the hard-work and dedication of our staff, and the continuous challenge of our students, whatever their individual starting point.
Our students love school. They have high expectations of their learning experience and we expect the most from them. This role is perfect for a team player with a positive, can-do attitude, passionate about supporting children and eager to inspire others.
We operate a House system and the successful candidate will lead the academic and pastoral wellbeing and achievement of a quarter of the school’s student population. The role will involve working closely with three experienced Pastoral Leaders. Internally, this role is referred to as a House Manager and The House Manager has integral involvement in getting the highest outcomes for our students by developing a strong house ethos and culture to ensure the high standards of attendance, attainment, progress and behaviour of all learners in a house.
Under the strategic direction of the Assistant Headteacher (Achievement), the successful candidate will promote the learning potential and well-being of students in a House and take the lead in the operation of school-wide procedures and systems in that house.
We will support your own professional learning and development, through CPD opportunities and our ‘Manor High Way’.
If this opportunity is the right one for you, we would be delighted to receive an application with a covering letter detailing your vision for the role.
