We are looking for an experienced Administrator to support our SEND team! We want a SEND Development Officer, who is a self-starter with a keen eye for detail, is approachable, has a commonsense approach to work and enjoys supporting colleagues in a busy team. About you…

  • Educated to GCSE standard
  • Experienced in using electronic filing and case note systems
  • Strong administration skills, with a good eye for detail
  • Experienced in taking minutes and recording decisions
  • Able to manage own workload with conflicting and time critical deadlines
About the role… Our work with young people has increased and we are looking for a SEND Development Officer who can support the team, enabling us to meet our statutory deadlines. Duties also include:


  • To provide operational support for all annual reviews, coordinating all documentation from schools and colleges and making provisional amendments to Education, Health & Care Plans. 
  • Assisting the SEND Case Officers to produce amended EHCPs in line with statutory guidelines.
  • To co-ordinate the processes for administering Education, Health and Care Plans, ensuring the service meets statutory standards and timescales
  • To lead, develop and manage processes for capturing and effectively reporting the views of parents/carers, children and young people about SEND services, acting as a champion for quality customer first approaches.
  • To lead on the support for SEND Panels, including providing administrative support for the Panel Chair, setting agendas, collation and distributions of papers, minute taking and maintaining accurate records on Liquid Logic for all Panel decision and discussion items.
The successful applicant for this post will be subject to a standard check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The costs for the DBS are paid by us.
SEND Development Officer interviews will be held on 27 May 2022.  Please be advised this could be subject to change, in which case we will give appropriate notice.
