ESPO are looking for 2 x highly motivated, hardworking individuals to Deliver operational support tasks whilst training and gaining practical experience leading to either a NVQ level 3 qualification as Information Communications Technician
 
You will work as part of a small, friendly technical team providing first line support to ESPO staff, and assisting the technical specialists with upgrades and other projects where required.   This is not a typical high-pressure Service Desk role, this will give you an opportunity to learn new skills and get involved in a range of work including call logging and first line problem resolution and to provide a local service to customers, Documenting and installing equipment and software, supporting, and developing the use of IT facilities throughout ESPO. you will also assist with providing technical advice and information to local and remote users and provide first line Application Support on the use of ESPO systems, to colleagues across the organisation

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Education to GSCE standard at grades A-C for a minimum 5 GCSE or NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
  • Willingness to work towards NVQ Level 3 where applicable.
  • Practical experience of using computers
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Good analytical/problem solving skills; numerate
  • Fluent written and spoken English language skills as the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post
