Nottingham City Council Adult Social Care have opportunities available for Care Team Leaders to work at both Cherry Trees (Bestwood Park) and The Oaks (St. Ann’s) for 37h/week on a permanent contract
    
The starting salary for the positions is £30,095, rising to £31,895 on the first year anniversary, subject to satisfactory completion of a probation period (pro rata for part time workers).

Job Purpose
Cherry Trees and The Oaks are modern residential units in Bestwood Park and St. Ann’s respectively, for elderly citizens with a range of needs, including dementia. Citizens may be either short term or longer term residents, depending on their identified needs and circumstances.
Care Team Leaders are responsible for the day to day management of the home, under the leadership of the Service Provision Manager, as well as contributing to strategic change and policy when required.
The successful candidate will supervise, manage, monitor and directly observe the practice of Care Workers within the service, ensuring that service provision complies with Essential Standards of Quality & Safety at all times.
They are also responsible for quality control procedures, auditing care plans, ensuring appropriate staffing cover is in place, overseeing medication management, and ensuring all financial and legislative regulations are followed with regards to care provision.
The successful candidate should have experience of people management processes, and leading and motivating a team to achieve planned outcomes for citizens. They should also have knowledge of all statutory requirements in relation to CQC, MCA and the Care Act.
      
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: 
  1. A thorough understanding of and skills in person centred care planning - an ability to ensure that citizens have safe and appropriate personalised care and support to enable them to maintain or regain maximum independence
  2. Ability to drive teams towards key outcomes, ensuring high standards of service, work quality, and adherence to deadlines, standards, agreements and promises made
  3. Knowledge and understanding of the rights, needs and feelings of older people from diverse ethnicity, age, culture, gender, sexual orientation and range of physical disability
  4. Ability to keep up to date with new developments in the service, share learning and information with the team and colleagues, and embrace and adapt quickly to new ways of working
