Computing Lead Practitioner
Leadership Range 1-5 (dependant on skills and experience)
Full-time – permanent
Commencing 25 August 2022

We are looking to appoint a talented, creative and innovative professional with the commitment and ambition to raise the quality of teaching and learning in computing across the college, taking us through the next phase in our development and beyond.  This is a new role which will provide a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of computing teaching expertise across Key Stages 3 and 4 at Ibstock and across the LIFE multi academy trust schools, driving up standards through the effective teaching and use of new technologies.

As a lead practitioner you will be an inspirational teacher for students and colleagues alike, with the track record to prove it.  You will have a clear vision of what can be achieved for our students, promoting computing as a career pathway, along with your understanding of high standards and ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential.
This role would be a great career opportunity for an ambitious professional looking to build or extend their leadership profile.

This is an exciting time to be joining Ibstock Community College!  The college has 643 students on roll and is at the heart of the local community, serving families in Ibstock and the surrounding villages of North-West Leicestershire.  Having joined LiFE Multi Academy Trust in July 2021, we are at an exciting stage in our development as we expand from a Key Stage 3 (11-14) school to welcoming our first Year 10 student cohort from the autumn term 2022.

As students, staff, parents and governors we share the following values and beliefs:-

                        Resilience
                        Equity
                        Success

We are fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  An enhanced DBS disclosure is required for this post.
