Salary Range £20,046 - £20,448

The Environment and Transport's Business Support Team are recruiting a Senior Administrative Assistant, based at County Hall. The role is to provide an efficient, effective and comprehensive administrative support service to the Department, supporting senior officers and managers with all day to day business processes in the team.
-Interrogating databases to produce less routine reports including the design of simple spreadsheets and identifying problems/issues with data produced.
-Respond to routine correspondence in relation to service provision, requiring non-standardised factual responses on behalf of senior staff.
-To produce a range of typed documents from a variety of sources involving the use of various software packages in relation to service provision.

  • Clerical experience in a range of tasks to include word processing, filing, photocopying, taking and relaying messages, data inputting/maintaining records
  • Arranging and serving meetings, note taking and producing minutes
  • Using Microsoft Office including word, excel and outlook
  • Telephone call handling
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A willingness to be flexible, learn and undertake a variety of different tasks
  • Team working and the ability to build strong relationships
