We are looking to recruit casual qualified Swimming teachers (either Swim England Level 2 or The STA Level 2 Award in Teaching) to deliver fun, progressive and safe swimming lessons to groups of children and adults across 6 of our city council pools. Our lessons take place Monday - friday 4-6.30pm and weekends 8am-1pm. There may also be the opportunity to work additional hours on the school swimming programme. Our rate of pay starts at £12.97 per hour. We provide ongoing access to training and free uniform.
The role involves;
* Planning swimming lessons for a wide range of swimming abilities from beginner - advanced and from 6 months of age
* Delivering fun, progressive and safe swimming lessons
* To assess swimming ability of participants against the class criteria and keep this updated for each swimmer
* To follow and implement the Swim England learn to Swim framework
* To issue Swimming awards and badges to reward and motivate swimmers
* Level 2 Swim Teachers Qualification (Swim England or STA)
* Pool lifeguard qualification or the National Rescue Award for Teaching Swimming (NRASTC) or willingness to work towards
