Organisation:LiFE Multi Academy Trust

Working Hours: Full Time , Hours per week - 32.5

Appointment Type:Permanent

Location:Ashby School, Nottingham Road, Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire, LE65 1DT

Closing date:30 January 2022 at midnight

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and determined mathematician with a passion for their subject, the ability to enthuse and engage students and the dedication, commitment and strategies to raise attainment at Key Stage 4 and, from autumn 2022, Key Stage 3. We also offer opportunity to work with our committed and enthusiastic over-subscribed Key Stage 5 courses.
This post is available from Easter, though we welcome applicants who would wish to start for the 2022 Autumn term.
Ashby School is a thriving, successful and over-subscribed 14-19 Academy with 1,600 students on roll including 600 post-16. Conveniently located close to the M42 and M1, within easy reach of several areas of outstanding natural beauty and with the national forest on the doorstep, the school is set in its own attractive grounds in the expanding market town of Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire.
The post offers an exceptional opportunity for either an experienced practitioner, with a proven record of academic success looking for a new challenge, or an individual who is new to the profession seeking an opportunity in a leading Academy focused on ensuring that all students achieve or exceed their potential.
We offer an excellent Continued Professional Development programme within a supportive environment and are committed to continuous improvement in both teaching and learning. Maths is at the centre of life at Ashby School: we aim to empower and inspire students in their maths education so that they leave the school with a positive and confident approach to numbers. The successful candidate would be joining a large, supportive faculty with nine full time teachers and three part-time teachers. We have three dedicated teaching assistants and a faculty support administrator. Working a suite of dedicated rooms, the faculty has laptops and iPads for student use and access to a range of supportive teaching resources.
We are proud of the work we do at Ashby School: if you are passionate about teaching and learning, share our enthusiasm for Science and are seeking to develop your practice in a supportive and dynamic faculty, we would be delighted to hear from you.
