This is an exciting opportunity for a child centred individual to join Footprints Conductive Education Centre, a charity that provides a range of services to help babies and children with mobility and communication difficulties to develop the skills they need to thrive and achieve their potential. Our work is inspired by the principles and practices of “Conductive Education”, a holistic education approach developed at the Petö Institute in Hungary used to help children with disabilities learn skills we take for granted.
The Classroom Assistant will support and assist the Conductors/Conductor Assistants within all areas relating to the planning, delivery, management and evaluation of educational programmes that are provided at Footprints.
This is the ideal opportunity to discover a whole new way of learning including training (if required) and progression in a nurturing, intimate setting for anyone wanting to expand their skill set and love working with children.
We know that Conductive Education is not widely known in the UK unless you are a conductor or a recipient of the services, so (Covid Permitting), informal visits from interested candidates are very welcome. It is a great way to see what we do and get a feel for the way we work to support the families who attend.
