Salary Range £28,704 - £32,241

This is an opportunity to join a hardworking, supportive team responsible for the delivery of passenger transport services.  The role is primarily focused around financial payments to a range of suppliers including transport operators and parents but also reviewing applications and appeals for concessionary travel passes and blue badges in accordance with relevant policies.  You will also be responsible for identifying the individual requirements of service users on home to school transport and social care transport through a risk assessment process.  You will manage and develop systems and procedures to support the successful delivery of Personal Transport Budgets, invoice payments and concessionary travel payments.  You will work closely with the Passenger Transport Scheme Manager to achieve the above.    

  • You need excellent knowledge and use of Microsoft Office, including developed skills in Excel and Access to produce reports, together with good analytical skills
  • You will be able to test and troubleshoot systems (including IT systems) and have a “can do” attitude to problem solving
  • You will be self-motivated to take the lead on projects effectively, once trained
  • You must have excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise both on a technical level with ICT and finance partners, but also empathetically and calmly with members of the public including parents and carers, and with transport providers and other external bodies. 
  • You will be able to manage varied workloads and priorities for yourself and your team to ensure service delivery
  • You will be able to lead and manage staff effectively both in the office and remotely, ensuring they feel supported to perform at a high level
