Odyssey Educational Trust, Humberstone Infant and Junior Academies, are seeking to appoint a versatile, motivated and positive minded Attendance Officer to join our friendly office team.
  
As an integral part of our front office team, our ideal candidate needs to have outstanding interpersonal and organisational skills as well as the flexibility to adapt to the challenges of the school day. This demanding post requires someone who is able to multi-task in a busy office environment, interacting with children and adults throughout the day.
  
The role includes:
  • Maintaining the attendance records of the students across the Trust and where necessary liaising with the education welfare officer
  • Improving punctuality and attendance for individuals, key groups and the Trust as a whole through careful monitoring, recording and close direct work with families
  • Interacting with parents, carers and visitors to the school face to face or by telephone.
  • Corresponding with parents regarding pupil attendance and issuing of penalty notices for unauthorised absences.
  
The successful candidate will be confident user of Word and Excel as well as the ability to use a range of ICT packages. Experience of SIMS and ParentMail or equivalent as well as front line reception work is essential.
  
GCSE English and Maths at A-C is a minimum requirement - your application will not be considered without these qualifications.
  
The successful candidate will be a proven team player, who can use their own initiative, demonstrate good communication and record keeping skills.
