Orchard Primary School are seeking to appoint a dedicated and effective Learning Support Assistant to work with a delightful Year 5 pupil in receipt of Top Up Funding.
Start Date: Monday 7th February 2022 (or as soon as thereafter.)
Contract: Fixed-term temporary post initially – to be reviewed when the pupil leaves the school in July 2023.
Salary Details: Grade 5. This attracts a salary range of £18,933 to £19,314 per annum, awarded on a pro-rata basis. Your starting salary would be £11,986 (Pay Point 7).
Hours of work: Five days per week, 27.5 hours (8.45-12.00 & 1.00-3.15) term time plus Inset days only.
We may also be able to offer additional hours and pay if the successful candidate wished to take on the role of midday supervisor, either full-time or part-time.
The successful candidate will:
• Be an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual who will bring a sense of energy and passion to the role
• Have NVQ 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent
• Have a good level of general education - English and Maths at GCSE Grade C or above is essential
• Be able to use their initiative to work independently and flexibly
• Be a person with good interpersonal skills who can form positive relationships with both pupils and adults, and work effectively as part of a team
• Be someone who is able to show empathy and flexibility towards the children in their care
