Are you a flexible, dynamic team player with experience supporting projects, programmes or business change? Looking for a new challenge in 2022? If so, why not come and work with us!

Leicestershire County Council's Transformation Unit is looking for a Change Officer, initially to work within the Adults & Communities Change Team but with the flexibility to support change initiatives across the Council. Change Officers support our Change Managers and Leads to discover, design and deliver projects, programmes and business change initiatives, and ensure collective understanding of progress of our Strategic Change Portfolio through our Change Management Office function. During the pandemic we are largely working remotely, and will be moving to a hybrid remote/office working arrangement in future.

This post supports LCC on its transformational journey to becoming a modern and sustainable council for the future. The role of the County Council has changed significantly over the past few years. Demand for our services continues to increase, expectations are high and pressures on our budget continue to grow. What hasn't changed is our unwavering commitment to ensure that, at the heart of our services, we aim to achieve the best possible outcomes for Leicestershire residents and their families. Whether it's helping people to get the most out of what we deliver, being able to access our services more easily and quickly, or working together in new and innovative ways, we believe the right people with the right support can make a real difference.

The role will:
  • Develop and maintain key documentation including benefits realisation plans, risk and issue logs, progress reports and others as required by Change Leads and the Change Office Manager
  • Support delivery of change initiatives through ownership of actions or work packages as directed
  • Facilitate the flow of essential information across the Strategic Change Portfolio by ensuring updates and requests for information are proactively prepared and provided in a timely manner
  • Organise, prepare for and where appropriate facilitate key meetings including Project / Change Boards and workshops, ensuring key decisions and actions are captured and followed up.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Experience of working on projects in a supportive, enabling role
  • Experience of providing administrative support and co-ordination
  • Experience of organising and facilitating key meetings such as Project Boards, Project Team meetings and workshops
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills, ensuring an orderly environment for projects and objectives to be managed
