Salary Range: £47,691 - £52,764            
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join Leicestershire County Council as a Health Protection Strategic lead.  Public Health is one of six departments within the County Council, exercising the full range of public health duties, including the delivery and commissioning of services.  The Director of Public Health is a chief officer of the council, reporting directly to the Chief Executive. This position reports to the Consultant in Public Health responsible for Health Protection. The post holder will be responsible for playing a key role in leading and managing the Health Protection response for Leicestershire and Rutland County Councils.      
As well as being suitably qualified, candidates will need to have experience of successfully managing, budgets, projects, and leading through change.  This is a great opportunity to be a member of a high performing team and to ensure that public health plays a key role in the improvement of outcomes for our communities. This is an exciting Health Protection development opportunity for someone with passion and knowledge of health protection and especially Covid-19 and skills in leadership and partnership working.
