Leicestershire Adult Learning Service invites applications for the post of Learning Development and Delivery Coordinator. This is a permanent, part-time (0.8 FTE) post working within the Learning for Independence curriculum which encompasses courses in a range of subjects for adults with learning disabilities or learning difficulties.
 
The successful applicant, based at the Moira Centre in Loughborough, will develop and coordinate the delivery of a range of learning activities for adults in the north of the county, be responsible for ensuring quality assurance of courses across the curriculum and work as part of a team to manage, support and develop tutors in their teaching role.
 
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to work in a vibrant and engaging environment with opportunities to develop the existing programme of learning offered.
  
Leicestershire Adult Learning Service, judged good (Grade 2) by Ofsted in February 2018, provides Community Learning and Adult Skills programmes for adults at venues throughout Leicestershire.
 
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Applicants should have:
  • Substantial experience of working with adults with learning difficulties and knowledge of teaching and learning best practice to support personalised learning.
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering quality assurance
  • Knowledge of a wide range of resources to enhance teaching and learning and a clear understanding of the professional standards for tutors.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to manage a team of tutors, LSA’s and volunteers
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with learners, parents/carers, colleagues, professionals etc.
