A Senior Technician is required within development approvals of the Infrastructure Planning team to carry out technical approvals in connection with 3rd party development through Section 38 and 278 agreements and s184 licences.
You will be responsible for liaising with developers and their consultants to ensure submitted designs comply with the Leicestershire Highway Design Guide, offering guidance and support where necessary so that technical approval can be achieved.
You will be responsible for dealing with highway adoption enquires from a variety of sources and liaising with relevant district and parish councils over development related queries and requests.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- A BTEC higher in Civil Engineering or equivalent or experience that meets the essential requirement and evidence of continued learning.
- Working in an engineering setting, in relation to road adoptions under Section 38, access works (Section 184), Section 278 works.
- Good knowledge of current highway design standards, construction techniques, or maintenance standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to travel to locations across the County as required.
