Maplewell Hall School are seeking to appoint enthusiastic and able individual to join our expanding team of enthusiastic and devoted support staff that we have at our friendly, successful and oversubscribed school.
We are currently seeking a Teaching Assistant to support our students with their classroom learning in Food Technology. You will join and contribute to our extremely dedicated support team and be part of a highly successful oversubscribed school which has high aspirations for all students with SEN and Autism.
Start date: As soon as possible
Contract: 32 hours per week, 39 weeks (term time plus 5 teacher training days)
Salary: Grade 6, point 9. Actual salary £14,507 (£19,701 full time equivalent per annum).
Closing date: 9am Monday 13th December 2021
The successful applicants will need to be confident, well organised and self-motivated, along with being flexible to meet the needs of the school. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
  • Provide in-class support for students with an EHCP
  • A commitment to raising levels of student achievement
  • A passion for cookery and supporting students to learn
  • Ability to work within a team
Maplewell Hall is a highly popular expanding special school for students with moderate learning difficulties and Autism aged 11 – 19 years. At present there are 290 students on roll across the whole school, including Maplewell Autism Provision (MAP) and our Post 16 Site, based in Loughborough.
Our MAP department supports and provides learning for students with high functioning Autism and is designed for students to reach and achieve their full potential, whilst our Post 16 Site aims to provide all our students with a pathway to employability.
