We are looking for a number of Higher Level Teaching Assistants to join us in the Ilkeston area. Details of the role are below:
Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Location: Ilkeston
Hours: 30 per week
Weeks: 39 weeks, term time only
Salary: £15,500 per annum
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant you will be required to support and maintain a high level of learner engagement through collaborative preparation and delivery of an innovative, creative and flexible curriculum. You should use a collaborative and multi-agency holistic approach to delivering an education provision which includes attention to health and safety awareness, risk management and the safeguarding of young people. The role will involve working with learners in 1:1 and small groups.
The successful candidate will need to hold a minimum of a Level 4 qualification in education in addition to having at least three years experience of working with children and young people within an education setting.
You should be able to demonstrate knowledge regarding the teaching practice for young children with additional needs and be able to plan sessions and amend if necessary to cater for the learner’s needs.
Due to this post having access to children/vulnerable adults, candidates will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post as all cases are judged individually according to the nature of the role and information provided.
