Nottingham City Council Sport and Leisure Services are currently looking for passionate, dynamic and pro active group fitness instructors. You will be charismatic that can hold the attention of the whole studio delivering group fitness classes that are fun, safe, effective and developmental for our customers providing a positive experience wanting customers to return for more.
   
We are looking for someone who can guide, motivate and inspire customers, a real people person and a natural team player. Our standard procedures will give you guidance on delivering classes in a safe and fun way.
 
You will be organised, flexible and have exceptional customer service skills. Able to ensure studios are ready and equipment available for participants to take part in classes.
 
You will need to have experience and qualifications to deliver a variety of classes along with a level 2 exercise to music qualification.
   
In return there will be opportunities for Instructors to develop their knowledge and gain qualifications in other disciplines.
   
There are a number of vacancies across our leisure centres from 45 minutes upwards to be agreed with successful candidates.
  
Nottingham City Council offers competitive rates of pay starting at £16.74 p/hour which includes a market supplement.  
  
All successful applicants will be required to undertake an appraisal as part of the recruitment process this normally takes 1 hour.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Hold and maintain a current nationally recognised Level 2 fitness qualification for example Exercise to Music
  • Hold current qualification for specific classes taught e.g. Aqua, Indoor Cycling
  • Ability to manage classes to a tight timescale
  • For Aquatic Fitness sessions hold a current National rescue award for swimming teachers and coaches or a National Pool lifeguard qualification.
  • Ability to follow a safe exercise policy
  • Ability to screen customers and make decisions on participation.
  • Ability to offer committed and sensitive approach to ensuring equality of opportunity in service provision
