We are looking for an individual to join the Finance Analysis and Information Team (FAIT) as a Finance Support Assistant. Working as part of a team you will be the first line of contact for all financial queries and will be responsible for triaging these queries to the relevant teams within the finance function.
    
The purpose of the role is:
  • To support the swift resolution of finance queries.
  • To retrieve, analyse and provide accurate and relevant information to respond to queries in a timely, sensitive and effective manner. 
  • To undertake system administration duties to ensure accuracy, reliability and validity of data reporting.
  • To contribute to process improvements including ensuring procedural guidance is up to date and adhered; and supporting any policy/process changes and/or new service developments.
  • To promote good communication through telephone or e-mail.
       
Essential Requirements:
  • NVQ level 2 qualification in a relevant area or demonstrable experience relevant to the post.
  • Experience in dealing with queries and correspondence in a professional manner.
  • Experience of working with a computerised financial system and Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
  • Ability to take responsibility for organising own work to achieve objectives in order of priority and demonstrate a flexible approach to meet changing demands.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to provide effective and responsive feedback to financial and non-financial stakeholders of varying degrees of seniority.
  • Monitoring/managing multiple streams of enquiry in a timely manner.
  • Understanding of the importance of confidentiality, and accurate information/data management.
