An opportunity has arisen within our Internal Post and Print teams for a Post Team and Digital Print Leader at our County Hall site.
   
Due to a recent cultural shift in working practice, with more of our staff working remotely we will need to communicate using remote print and post equipment.
   
Underpinning this, we are considering more digitally enabled forms of post and communication combined with a strategic ambition to move towards hybrid mail solutions.
    
To led this process the Leicestershire County Council is looking for someone with a strong background in the use and management of ‘print’ digital equipment and software, or ‘post’ digital equipment and software, or both, to help develop the hybrid/digital mail management process.
     
General duties among others include-
   
To lead on digital solutions the implementation of hybrid mail and the potential internal print solution. Responsible for all trading for the Post Service including tender and bid pricing and to act as a lead on the potential commercial applications for digital post.
    
To undertake all HR staff related functions including recruitment the management of absence, capability and disciplinary processes to Post Team.
   
To take the lead role in ensuring that all types of printing for both the Print Unit and Post Service (Digital Print Services, Wide Format, Lithographic, Signage and Print Finishing) are undertaken to the highest standards.
   
Utilise Print Management Systems software (PrintSmith, Web-to-Print, Impress Automate) to cost, process, order and invoice for all works undertake. Utilise and interpret franking machine reports, analyse post movement and provide data reports on volumes and department costs.
     
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
     
Experience in-
  • Colour print production or Postal Contracts and Hybrid Mail or Digital Communication, Software processes.
  • Solving problems relating to mail solutions or print production. Working with and supervising a team
  • Specialist Post or Print software, electronic file formatting and handling. Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, PageMaker, Adobe In-Design, Acrobat Professional including Distiller, Illustrator, Photoshop and Quark Express.
