Maplewell Hall School are looking to add to the expanding team of enthusiastic and devoted teaching staff that we have at our friendly, successful and oversubscribed school.
We are committed to providing professional development opportunities for all our staff and would welcome applications from NQT’s to fill our current vacancy.
We are currently seeking a permanent Teacher of English starting January 2022, who will join and be supported by our established and knowledgeable department.
The successful candidate will contribute to our extremely dedicated teaching team and be part of a highly successful oversubscribed school which has high aspirations for all students with SEN and Autism.  
The successful applicant will have outstanding classroom practitioners with QTS to deliver their knowledgeable subject based lessons from KS3 through to High Level GCSE.
Maplewell Hall is a highly popular expanding special school for students with moderate learning difficulties and Autism aged 11 – 19 years. At present there are 288 students on roll across the whole school.    
Our MAP (Maplewell Autism Provision) supports and provides learning for students with high functioning Autism and is designed for students to reach and achieve their full potential.  Our Post 16 Site aims to provide all our students with a pathway to employability.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive individual who has the ability to apply support strategies where barriers to learning present themselves. You will be able to communicate effectively and have an understanding of the support needs of students within education and the challenges for students making the transition between settings.
• UK QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

• Self-motivator who can work independently
• MPS / UPS scale + SEN 1 depending on experience
