Job Information:
Nanpantan Hall Nurture Centre is a small independent school based in Loughborough that caters for primary aged people with Autism. All our pupils are academically able but have struggled to cope with the demands or environment of the mainstream primary classroom. We are looking for an exceptional person to join our team as a Learning Mentor. A Learning Mentor is an integral member of the school who will work under the direction of a Teacher supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking school and to contribute to the development of Autism provision in Leicestershire.
What you will need to succeed:
We are seeking somebody that has experience working with primary aged pupils with SEN and Autism. You need to be someone who will thrive in a challenging but immensely rewarding environment, who is passionate about supporting the development of social, life and independence skills and who truly wants to make a difference in the lives of young people and their families.
You will ideally have:
  • Recent experience working in a primary setting
  • Experience of working with pupils with Autism
  • Knowledge of good Autism practice
  • Training/Experience of working with sensory processing difficulties.
  • Training/Experience of working with Adverse Childhood Experiences/Attachment.
