We are looking to recruit Learning Support Assistants to support two children with a range of additional and complex needs, including autism.
Experience of working with children with autism is essential, and experience of working with children with further speech and communication difficulties is desirable.
Our ideal candidates will have experience of recognising needs and showing initiative to proactively and positively support children on a one to one basis.
Ideally, the person will be able to have the necessary strategies required to manage SEMH, communication and interaction needs and, where needed apply a ‘bespoke timetable’ alongside the class teacher, to encourage learning.
The position will be paid at local government Grade 5 Scale point 7 (£9.54) or above dependent on experience for 27.5 to 32 hours per week, depending on the individual EHCP plan. (term-time only).

The post will involve working with the children across lunchtimes. The posts are to support the children until they leave the school. This depends on the age and changing needs of the individual children.
