JOB PURPOSE:
  • Tosupport the School Appeals Team in the preparation of appeals documentation;
  • To gather information for school appeals
  • To liaise with schools, school admissions and legal services concerning all aspects of appeals administration
  • To provide administrative support for the Service Manager and when necessary to other teams within the service  
  
ESSENTAIL REQUIREMENTS
  • Education to GCSE ‘C’ or equivalent including English Language and Mathematics
  • Or Equivalent NVQ level in administration 
  • Experience of liaising with customers/clients using a variety of methods
  • Experience of accurately capturing, storing and retrieving information to meet organisational and customer needs.
  • Experience of working in  a customer facing environment or people orientated role
  • Experience ofworking effectively as part ofa team.
  • Experience ofworkingin anenvironment of where confidentiality and security of sensitive informationis required
  • Knowledge and experience of administrative processes and systems
  • Knowledge,understanding and appreciation of confidentialityand security 
  • Knowledge of the geography of the county
  • Ability to interpret information and data.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and understanding of good organisational skills.
  • Evidence of working with computer systems to input,store and retrieve data.
  • Ability to communicate positively whether in writing or verbally (including good telephone manner).
  • Ability to respond flexibly to changing demands.
  • Ability to communicate and work successfully with a range of partners, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to present accurate information clearly,both written and orally
  • A flexible approach to working, including out-of-hours, and an ability and willingness to travel to various locations.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the importance of confidentiality and the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)
  • Must be able to perform all duties and tasks with reasonable adjustment, where appropriate, in accordance with the provisions of Equality Act 2010
  • To ensure that all duties and responsibilities are carried out in accordance with Council policies and procedures, in particular those on equalities and diversity, health and safety and finance
